Hearts and Hands

The Hearts and Hands stitch group meets the first Saturday of each month at SpiritLife Church, 5345 South Peoria Avenue in Tulsa, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a fun-filled few hours of sewing, piecing and quilting! Some of this time is also spent organizing donated materials — scrap pieces, yard goods, quilt tops — into quilt kits for completion by members. Finished pieces are frequently shown at our meetings during Show and Tell. We donate hundreds of quilts of all sizes, blankets, tote bags, etc. to area agencies for distribution where needed. If you would like more information on how to donate material or become involved in Hearts and Hands, please contact us!
Some of the organizations our quilts go to are: BA Police cars, Parent Child Center, Laura Dester Center, Indian Health Center, Neighbors Across the Lines (Sand Springs), Tulsa Police cars, Family Promise (partner with Lindsey House to house the homeless) and BA Headstart.

Tulsa Habitat for Humanity partners with the local community to build homes with families in need of improved housing in an effort to eliminate substandard housing. Now, More Than Ever – HELP Build It!
Below is the pattern for our Habitat for Humanity quilt blocks. Please make as many as you would like following that pattern! Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to our last Habitat quilt, we continue to collect these blocks on an ongoing basis. Blocks can be turned in during guild meetings at our Hearts and Hands table. When we have collected enough to make a quilt, we will complete another new quilt for a new homeowner.
