Program for August, 2022: Martha Spark – Quilt Index Core Standards (see program details here)

In-person lecture and trunk show of Martha’s Antique & Vintage Quilts.
Topic is on quilt documentation, that is, being able to correctly identify physical characteristics seen in a quilt. Standards of quilt documentation have developed out of the Quilt Index Project. You will learn many aspects of quilts. Each characteristic can be a clue to helping date and determine the origin of the quilt.

Martha Spark is an award wining quilter and quilt designer.
She is a professional quilt restorer and textile preservation consultant with over 30 years experience in the museum field.
