Hearts and Hands

Hearts and Hands is the donation arm of the Green Country Quilters Guild. The group meets the first Saturday of each month at SpiritLife Church, 5345 South Peoria Ave. in Tulsa, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for sewing, piecing and quilting! Some of this time is spent organizing donated items such as fabric, thread, and batting. We also cut quilt kits which are picked up by our members at our monthly guild meetings to be assembled at home and returned at a future meeting. We donate hundreds of quilts of all sizes, receiving blankets, tote bags, pillow cases, etc. to area agencies for distribution where needed. We make and donate quilts of all sizes. Listed below are some general sizes and their recipients.

  • Infant/Baby – 38″ and under
  • Child – 41″ x 47″ up to 45″ x 60″
  • Youth – minimum of 50″ x 60″ up to 65″ x 88″
  • Adult – minimum of 65″ x 88″ up to 100″ x 105″

Some of the organizations our quilts are delivered to are Emergency Infant Services, The Parent Child Center, Family & Children’s Services, Arms Around BA, Child Advocacy Network, Youth Services of Tulsa. We also provide a quilt for every house built by Habitat for Humanity. Tulsa Habitat for Humanity partners with the local community to build homes with families in need of improved housing in an effort to eliminate substandard housing.
